INGREDIENTS
Pumpkin - loaded with Vitamin C which help brighten your skin, fade acne scars, protect from damage and helps with anti aging. (PS. eating pumpkin actually also helps boost skin elasticity and improve skin tone! )
Pumpkin is also packed with antioxidants like Carotenoids that help protect your skin from free radicals. Even more, pumpkin has tons of minerals like Potassium, copper, magnesium, manganese, and iron, even more! Jam packed with B vitamins like niacin, riboflavin, B6 and folate, which all help skin cell turn over and and renewal.
Honey - besides being OH so delicious, honey has Vitamin C which help nourish and brighten the skin, Vitamin B1 & B2 to protect skin from damage, B3 & B6 to help with inflammation, hydrates and nourishes the skin.
Egg Whites - this stuff doesn’t just make an amazing omelette guys, egg whites help tighten your skin which helps with anti aging, there’s also astringent in the egg whites which help draw oils from your pores helping with shrinking large pores and blackheads. Also the protein in the egg whites helps replenish and nourish our skin !
Cinnamon - I’ll start by saying I put cinnamon in pretty much on everything I can, but did you know cinnamon has some amazing skin benefits! It helps dry out and treat acne, reduce inflammation, exfoliates and helps promote circulation in the skin ! If you have dry skin I recommend using very little or excluding this ingredient.
MASK RECIPE
2 tablespoon fresh pumpkin (do not use the canned stuff because it’s loaded with preservatives that are no bueno for your skin! )
1 tablespoon of organic honey
2 tablespoon Egg whites
1 teaspoon of cinnamon or 2 dashes
DIRECTIONS
Microwave pumpkin for about a minute to soften it. Do not boil it or you’ll lose all the nutrients in the water
Mash up the pumpkin
Separate the egg white from the yolk
Take a tablespoon of the pumpkin
Add egg whites, honey and cinnamon and mix thoroughly ( you can also put this mixture in the blender for a thinner consistency)
Apply a nice generous and even layer to your face (make sure you apply the mask on a clean face !)
Leave it on for about 20 minutes
Wipe off the excess mask with damp towel
Rinse with warm water ( do not use face wash or you’ll just wash off all the goodness)
VOILA! Done. Brighter, smoother and healthier looking skin!
There you go!
I hope you enjoyed this mask recipe, let me know what you’re biggest skin problem is in the comments so I can try to concoct a new DIY face mask for it !
Thanks for stopping by ;)
